The Levy-Neafie House is located at 28 Congress Street, 1/2 block from the beach and 1 block from the center of town, the Washington Street Mall. It has a superb location within the historic district and easy walking distance to numerous restaurants and attractions. It is one of Cape May's "key historic structures" being one of the few originally listed in the "Cape May Handbook" initially published in 1977 and sponsored by the Athenaeum of Philadelphia.

The house is a twin house, listed in the National Historic Register and was originally built by famous ship chandlers, Levy & Naefie from Philadelphia. Each were ship captains and owned separate sides of this twin house. The Pagoda styled cupola reflects the charm of Asia with an Italian Villa and Renaissance Revival style of architecture. The second story porches were laid with canvas like a ship and the wrap-around porches and gingerbread decoration give this mansion its unique and romantically ornate characteristics. The Levy-Neafie House is designed to catch the sea breezes with 12 foot ceilings and private porch verandas. It reflects the lavish Victorian styles of the mid 1860's. This house is one of the few homes that may be rented as a whole house or as 2 units, a 6 bedroom house and a 2 bedroom garden apartment in the rear. There are also 2 rear cottages available to rent, a 4 bedroom "Carriage House" and a 2 bedroom cottage, the "Stable".
