| Weddings are unforgettable occasions when the Southern Mansion is the setting. With a host of options for your banquet ballroom, grounds, accommodations and menus, we can cater to the needs of almost any wedding party.
Harmony Hall is an exquisite entertaining area for 50-60 guests. Restored to its original grandeur of 140 years ago, it features high ceilings accented with intricately carved moldings, ornamental medallions with original rococo gasoliers, and two working, marble fireplaces with mahogany mantles. Floor-to-ceiling windows illuminate the twelve foot gold leaf mirrors and gilded-age rococo furniture, all atop a "bird's eye" maple floor with decorative teak, walnut and purpleheart border. Harmony Hall opens onto the Solarium for additional space, and is perfect for your catered affair. Seating one hundred, Mahogany Hall is the larger of the two ballrooms. While enjoying the same architectural features as Harmony Hall, it also has a 3,000 square foot geometric design marble floor, a large hand-carved teak bar, two fireplaces, countless antique gasoliers and sconces, two marble bathrooms, a collection of classic American artwork and even a Wishing Well! The Bridal Tower crests the gloriously romantic ceiling of the bridal suite. Newlyweds lying in the carved mahogany canopy bed can gaze up 20 feet into four levels of detailed moldings and past eight arch-topped windows, into a center medallion that suspends a brilliant chandelier, lighting the entire scene. |
