Village Blacksmith Authentically garbed Village crafts people make history come alive as they demonstrate age old crafts using traditional tools, methods and materials. See iron rod heated and formed at the blacksmith's forge, the speeding weaver's shuttle, the spinner twisting wool into yarn, the printer's handpress the potter molding clay into graceful shapes, leather stitched into useful wares, the basketmaker and broommaker's practical art or the Village carpenter using a foot powered lathe.
Old Time Crafts Watch a mother prepare dinner for her family over an open fire or bake bread in a brick oven. Attend class in the one room school house. Linger in the tavern room and chat with the innkeeper and patrons. Many of the craftspeople will invite you to become involved in their trade. Tossing Hay

The rocking chairs in the shade of the Cold Spring Village's Country Store beckon the weary traveler to "sit a spell." lnside, its shelves offer candies, heritage food stuffs, jellies, toys, housewares and more. Many of the Village crafts people offer their wares for sale and will create handcrafted and traditional products on request. The Ice Cream Parlor and Bakery Can satisfy the most discriminating palate. For heartier fare there is the "Old Grange Restaurant" housed in the original Cold Spring Grange Hall #132. Special events every weekend and Free Saturday evening concerts add to your enjoyment
