
Cape May Seashore Lines and Historic Cold Spring Village invite children of all ages to ride the "Santa Express" weekends beginning Saturday, November 30th through Sunday, December 22nd. The trains will be departing Saturdays and Sundays at 11 am, 12:30, 2 and 3:30 pm from the Cold Spring Railroad Station located adjacent to the Village at the Route 9 entrance. Tickets are $7.00 for adults and $4.00 for children age 12 and under; infants (babes in arms) are free. Festivities planned for the entire family include holiday music and a 20 mile, 75 minute train ride with Santa Claus.
Refreshments will be available for purchase as well as specially-designed Cape May Seashore Lines T-shirts and hats. Santa's helpers will have candy treats for children, a gift from the Village Country Store. The trains will be operating rain, shine or snow! Seating is limited, offered unreserved and occupied on a first-come basis only.
Historic Cold Spring Village, a seasonal 19th century open-air living history museum, is dedicated to preserving the trades, crafts, lifestyles and issues of rural Cape May County. The Village is located on Route 9, three miles north of Victorian Cape May and four miles south of Rio Grande, exit 4A southbound on the Garden State Parkway. For visitors who are looking for the unique Christmas gift, the Country Store will be open both Saturday and Sunday from 11 am until 3 pm through December 22nd. There is currently a 40% off sale in progress which will continue though December.
