76 Main Street Inn was built in 1883 as a home for Captain William Swain, and has been welcoming guests for more than fifty years.

Our charming and historic inn is located on Centre Street, next to the Old North Church, in the historic residential district. It's "the perfect location," so there's no need for a car. The inn is a short walk to restaurants, shops, museums, theaters, tennis, the waterfront, and ferries.

Distinguished by fine island craftsmanship and attention to detail, both inns are traditional post-and-beam guest houses furnished with an eye to comfort and country living.

From our seventeen rooms, you may choose a cozy room with full size canopy bed, a room at the top of the Inn with a breathtaking view of the harbor and Brant Point or a spacious king-bedded room with vaulted ceilings in the Garden Wing.
