Brigantine Description and Photos

Although lesser known than her sister just south of her, Brigantine outshines Atlantic City with her wide sandy beaches and friendly atmosphere. Take a short trip over the causeway by AC's Trump Marina and Harrah's Casino Resort and you will be greeted by the Brigantine Lighthouse in the middle of the road, beckoning you to visit her glorious beaches.

Brigantine is also a birder's paradise with around 22,000 acres of the Brigantine Division of The Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife refuge located there. The huge Shorebird Refuge is guaranteed to satisfy the appetite of the bird watchers that visit this refuge.

Another major attraction is the Marine Mammal Stranding Center. Injured whales, Dolphins, Turtles and other aquatic creatures are rescued, rehabilitated and returned to the sea.

The Beach Crowd is mixed and mainly vacationing families from the Tri-State area and locals from throughout the area. Food is plentiful with a variety of local restaurants catering to almost every cuisine imaginable, and rental units run from Beautiful Ocean front Hotel/Motels to little bungalows rented by the week.

Brigantine's proximity to the Queen Of Resorts makes it an ideal choice for a fun vacation. Relaxing away from the hussle and bustle of Atlantic City on the beach in Brigantine during the day and taking the short hop over to the glistening casinos and shows in A.C. at night.
