Although it has only a small section of Beach (a 1/4 mile or so), there is a mixture of Sun and fun activities to keep you busy in Allenhurst. Corlies Avenue entrance is handicapped-accessible and there is a small surfer's section on the southern end of the beach. The municipal beach club is at Ocean and Corlies avenues and the Allenhurst beaches are open to non-residents for a daily or yearly fee. (You have to become a member of the Borough Beach Club to obtain a Season Pass but it also allows tou access to use the club's pools, restaurant and summer programs, as well as the beach. Mainly populated by local families and visiting families and couples, It offers a quiet atmosphere for reading and sunbathing as well as cooling off during the heat of the summer.
