As you drive along Ocean Ave. in the area of Sea Bright, you wonder where the beach and water are. A massive sea wall protects this narrow strip of land and also hides the Atlantic from view. All along this wall is a huge amount of posted "Private Beach" signs that seem to be on every access point to the Beach area beyond the Seawall.
The public Beaches are in the Southern area of this town as you enter from the Sandy Hook area. Beach passes are available on a Daily and seasonal basis and parking is provided (Also for a fee, Daily or seasonal, in two municipal lots, behind borough hall and on Peninsula Avenue..) The beaches are protected during the season and the crowd is mainly family orientated during the day and leans more toward the partying crowd as the sun sets.
Center Beach has restrooms, lockers and restroom facilities. There also are volleyball and basketball courts. There are restrooms on South Beach. Volleyball with it's tournaments is a major summer activity in this small community.
