Bay Head, Located South of Point Pleasant Beach, has Beach tags on a Seasonal or daily basis. One of the first things you will notice as you enter this town is the lack of a Honky Tonk atmosphere. Most of the Beach crowd return year after year because of the quiet relaxing nature of this shore community. Activities center on crabbing, windsurfing, waterskiing, power and sailboating and of course the favorite, swimming and relaxing on the sands of the beach.
This is not to say the town is without activity, The specialty stores and galleries provide a shopping experience not usually found in inland communities with unique architecture, they are a pleasure to browse and shop in. Accommodations at area Inns complete your experience, with a variety of fine crusine as well as take out food available in the town's Restaurant area.
The Beachfront is very clean mainly because of the restrictions on food and drink being prohibited on the beach itself. You will also find the lack of restrooms and public facilities compromise this beach area for day trips. The beaches are protected and parking is available in the municipal parking lot on Bridge Ave, and on the streets. But space is at a premium and time restricted.
