Berkeley Township has a variety of Beaches, beginning with South Seaside Park from 20th to 24th avenues, Beach Tags are available on a Daily, Weekly or Seasonal basis. Children under 12 do not need badges. Badges can be purchased at the 22nd Avenue entrance and also are available at the beach entrances during the season.
During the Season the Beach is protected and Restrooms are located at the 23rd Avenue entrance. The beach crowd is mixed, consisting of locals, vacationers and the overflow from neighboring Island Beach State Park. Food, alcoholic beverages and pets are not allowed, and metered parking is available across the street from the beach. There are no concession stands on the beach, but refreshments can be obtained on Central Boulevard, about a block from the beach.
North of Berkley Township Beaches is Seaside Park Municipal beach which has almost two miles of beach area and also a small boardwalk section North of the Beach with concessions, games and the Funtown Pier amusements.
