Harvey Cedars Description and Photos

Harvey Cedars, Located on the Northern portion of Long Beach Island, is South of Loveladies and North of surf City. Beach Passes are sold on a Daily, Weekly and Seasonal Basis and the Beaches are protected during the In-Season. You may purchase the passes at Borough Hall, 76th Street and Long Beach Boulevard and also at the recreation center on Salem Avenue.

Parking is permitted on most side streets, and also at the bayfront park and recreation center. The Beach crowd is mainly Day trippers, Some locals and vacationers renting on a seasonal basis. Volleyball, baseball, boccie, a playground and a paved fitness track are available for the active set that prefers it to lounging on the sand, and Restrooms and an outdoor shower are available.

Handicapped-accessiblilty is available at Mercer Avenue and 80th Street; there is one handicapped-designated parking space at each street end there. Call borough officials at (609) 361-9733 to reserve one of the borough's two adult-size or one child-size beach wheelchairs.

For those who enjoy a calmer surf, a Bay Beach, suitable for small children, can be found at 77th Street. shopping and food concessions are located along Long Beach Boulevard.
