Lavallette is located between Ortley, (To the South) and Ocean Beach (to the North), and has a nice sized stretch of beachfront running the length of the borough. You will find both Ocean and Bay beaches to frolic in the surf and the bayside is excellent for little ones with it's calmer waters.
Beach passes can be obtained on a Daily, Weekly or seasonal basis and parking is provided on side streets and 2 parking lots on the Bay side of the borough. (Can be extremely hard finding an open spot at times though.....) There are surfing areas along the beach and eating or drinking is prohibited on the beach itself. Snacks and other food can be obtained on Grand Central Avenue should the need to eat overtake the lure of the water. The beaches are protected and there are no restrooms nor changing facilities in the area.
