Ortley Beach is one of Dover Township's Beaches and is located just North of Seaside Heights and South of Lavallette. Beach passes may be purchased on a Daily, Half Season, or Full Season basis. There is a small boardwalk with a gazebo and the beach crowd is mainly family orientated and made up mostly of locals and summer renters. Food, alcoholic beverages and pets are prohibited on the beach and although there is a free parking lot, space is limited and extremely hard to find on summer days.
Dover Township also has a municipal pool at the Snug Harbor Recreation Complex, Located at 1810 Warren Point Road, where residents and non-resedents can purchase Daily or seasonal Pool passes.
