Surf City is located just North of Ship Bottom as you enter Long Beach Island, The Borough sports an ocean beach running from North 25th Street to South Third Street and also a bay beach near 15th Street and Barnegat Avenue. Beach passes are available on a daily weekly or seasonal basis and may be purchased at Borough Hall, Ninth Street and Long Beach Boulevard, or from badge checkers.
The Beach crowd is family orientated and consists of vacationers renting for the season and day-trippers from the Tri-State area. Parking is on designated side streets and Long Beach Boulevard and is at a premium on hot summer days. Handicapped parking spaces are located at the ocean side of each street end.
For the anglers among us, there is a fishing beach from North 23rd to North 25th streets, and surfers congregate between North First and North Third streets. Public restroom facilities are located at the municipal building on Ninth Street and there are no bath house facilities in the borough. No Alcohol and pets are allowed on the beaches.
